Father Nedyalko and matushka Marchela are based in Plovdiv Bulgaria. He is Eastern Orthodox Priest and she is Icon Painter. They both are interested in traditional Byzantine Art and Iconography.

Matushka Marchela works in traditional Byzantine style. She paints icons using traditional Byzantine techniques painting with egg tempera and using 24 carats golden leaf.

​

They both organise icon painting courses and workshops for small groups of students [maximum of 3 people] and one to one tuition. Classes are based in m.Marchela's studio located in the town of Perustitsa [12 miles off Plovdiv in

the Rhodope Mountains].

The icon painting courses include journeys in Plovdiv, Asenovgrad and Bachkovo for exploring the painted churches and monasteries in the area.
